PHOTOS: See Inside Mount Rushmore’s Secret Chamber That Hides More Than Just a Stunning View

South Dakota's national historic point Mount Rushmore has a mystery that is shrouded simply behind the well known stone heads of previous United States Presidents.

Cut out behind the characteristics of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln is a little chamber, concealed far from a great many people's view.

Composed by stone carver Gutzon Borglum in the 1920s, when he initially arranged the landmark, he died before he could finish the chamber, and it wasn't until the 1990s that the Hall of Records would at long last be finished.

Presently, albeit out of reach to voyagers in light of its dubious area, it goes about as a period case, recounting the narrative of the United States and the countries inception.

Photographs from the National Park Service demonstrate to us a look within this critical room, and the dazzling perspective from inside.
