The Paule Émile Victor Polar Institute (IPEV), an agency in charge of human, logistical, technical and financial resources as well as the legal framework necessary for the development of national scientific research in the polar regions, is launching a recruitment campaign for its six bases located in the Arctic, Antarctica and in the subarctic islands.

In these particularly isolated areas of the globe, the temperatures can plunge to minus 80 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, if the cold and the extreme conditions do not frighten you, you will have the chance to live and work in an extraordinary natural setting, completely frozen and that very few people will have the chance to see in their life.

A total of 40 posts are vacant. A wide variety of jobs are represented. IPEV is looking for cooks, mechanics, bakers, boilermakers, carpenters and plumbers.
