The First Polar Bear Born in Britain In More Than Two Decades

This is a beautiful baby who was born recently in the zoo of Highland Wildlife Park, Scotland: and for good reason, this is the first baby polar bear born in the UK for 25 years! A rare event, which is the delight of the naturalists of the zoological center. The teddy bear was born around Christmas last year, and he has just finally made his first steps outside!

At the Highland Wildlife Park Royal, a zoological center that is part of the Scottish Scientific Association's "Zoological Society of Scotland", it's time for the party: the first ever polar bear born in captivity in the UK for 25 years is finally made its first public appearance outside the shelter where he was huddled with his mother!

The little bear was able for the first time stretching his legs and most importantly, play in the snow!

The birth of this baby polar bear was a real shock to the zoo's healers. It is by noticing an abnormal weight in Victoria, the mom of the little bear, that they guessed that she was perhaps pregnant ... Then, they finally heard small squeals in the shelter of the bear, confirming the birth of her baby.

Fortunately, the little bear is fine, since he just came out of his shelter. This is great news for British researchers, who will also raise public awareness of the fate of endangered polar bears.
