Sudan, the World’s Last Male Northern White Rhino, Dies at 45


Sudan, the world's last surviving male northern white rhino, was put to rest at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya where he lived for as far back as 9 years. Presently, just two female northern white rhinos stay at the conservancy—the remnant of a dying breed on Earth.

Rhinoceroses—of which there are five species—are the second-biggest land warm blooded creature after elephants.
